Join us Friday Night May 16 for the Midnight Prerelease of Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals
Purchase ticket in advance; check-in in person at New Kawaii beginning at 11 PM Friday May 16
Participants will receive a Build & Battle Box containing four booster packs, a 23-card Evolution pack, and one of four promo cards. You'll have 30 minutes to construct a 40-card deck using these materials, followed by a Swiss-format tournament with three single-game rounds. All players who complete the event will receive three additional booster packs as a reward. Don't miss this chance to experience the new set before its official release!

What is a Pokémon Prerelease Event?
Pokémon Prerelease events are special tournaments held at select local game stores before the official set release date. These events give players an early opportunity to experience and play with the new expansion two weeks before its official launch. New Kawaii is proud to be part of the official Play! Pokémon program, allowing us to host sanctioned “Destined Rivals” prerelease events where players can build decks on the spot and test out new cards in our fun, casual tournament setting before the set becomes widely available on May 30, 2025.
About “Destined Rivals”
The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals expansion reignites the clash between heroic Trainers and the infamous Team Rocket, introducing “Team Rocket’s Pokémon” cards that showcase dark alliances like Giovanni’s Mewtwo ex and Ariana’s Arbok ex. Releasing on May 30, 2025, this set features over 240 cards, including more than 85 Trainer’s Pokémon, over 15 Pokémon ex, and a selection of powerful Supporter and Item cards themed around Team Rocket’s schemes.
